Frequently Asked Questions

ClayMaster began in 2025 after a practice session/lesson with Kevin DeMichiel at the Meadows when I showed him a prototype analytics practice tool that I was using to track my sporting clays progress and select which target presentations to focus on for my improvement. He really liked it and at that point, we jointly decided to develop it into an internet-based subscription business for sporting clays education/training.

Anyone who has been frustrated with trying to improve their sporting clays performance on their own and wants more structure and guidance on the best way to move forward. Shooters who are in NSCA Class A-D will see the most immediate progress given the nature of the “learning curve” and typical improvement process.

We want to support shooters that don’t have the luxury of living close to one of the top coaches/instructors in the U.S. and/or don’t have the financial resources to afford one or two 1:1 lessons/month. We also think that the time has come for the use of more technology to help enable distance-based learning/training. This is the future for many new shooters. You can still contact Kevin via his website (www.kdshooting.com) and Bill via text (423) 464-9073) for traditional lessons/instruction.

We have several discounts that are available for our customers: purchase an annual subscription plan vs. monthly plan, you will receive a 1-month free discount, military/first responder discount, and student (under 17 years of age) discount. Please see the discount details on the subscription page to qualify and apply towards your subscription plan.

If you purchase the annual subscription vs. the monthly subscription, we provide 1 month free (i.e., the annual subscription = 11 months) to incent our customers to purchase the annual subscription.

Sure, we offer the flexibility to change your subscription (go up a level or go down a level) after you’ve signed up to ClayMaster.

We're constantly creating and adding relevant content, sometimes it will be new professional videos, practice drills, video clips, additional documents on tips/techniques, illustrations, webinar recordings, etc. - we understand how important this is to our subscribers. We plan to, at a minimum, provide new ClayMaster content every ~45 days. We will use the notification feature on our website/portal to let our subscribers know that new information is available. We also will be moderating, following and contributing into the Private Community Forum on a daily basis.

Great question, we recommend following the "How the ClayMaster Process Works" on the home page of the website. Immerse yourself in reading through each of the sections, watch the instructional videos, etc. Once you've done that, go out and shoot a practice round or two and take note of any problem areas (e.g., a particular target presentation, a particular target type, L-R or R-L shots, report pair or true pair, etc.). You now have the beginnings of a framework to start thinking about developing an improvement plan. You're now ready to really "sink your teeth" into a more formal approach. Please keep in mind, you'll now be entering a pretty detailed, collaborative program between you, the ClayMaster program, and your on-line instructor/coach. It will require a lot of attention to detail and participation to yield the best results. Stay tuned, we will soon have a video out that helps explain this to make it easier for our customers.

Sure, this is a popular option for a spouse, significant other or family member/friend. A great way to celebrate/commemorate a special event (birthday, anniversary, etc.). Please follow the instructions in our subscription page as a gift purchase.

Please contact us at our email box (support@claymaster.net) and we'll get back to you in response to your question.

If you can reliably connect to the internet and have a fairly recent version of the MS Office suite of software (e.g., MS 365 with MS Excel, etc.), you should be fine. Please note that if you're using an Apple Mac laptop that is running macOS with Numbers, you will likely have issues using our proprietary Detailed Analytics Tool. Our Detailed Analytics Tool is custom software that uses extensive Visual Basic programming to automate many of the tasks and Numbers won't support this software. You will need to upgrade your spreadsheet software to MS Office for Mac to be able to use our Detailed Analytics Tool or use our managed service - Analytics where we do this for you. We've had customers upgrade their spreadsheet software to MS Office for Mac for ~$19.99 (lifetime license).

Many of our customers also enjoy some of the ClayMaster merchandise that we’ve custom designed (t shirts, performance shirts, hats, etc.) and wear ourselves. Please check it out on the website.

We don't currently offer this (traditional 1:1 face-to-face lessons) as part of our subscription plan due to the nature of our business model (internet based sporting clays education/training business) but you can still easily contact Kevin/Bill or one of our other professional instructors/coaches via our contact information on the website and they would be happy to schedule your private lesson for you.
